Comme vous le savez probablement déjà, le Réseau québécois pour contrer les abus envers les aînés (RQCAA) tient, le 5 juin 2009 de 9h00 à 16h30, son forum annuel qui sera suivi de son assemblée générale annuelle. Le thème de cette année est « le suicide assisté : abus? ». Nous aurons deux conférenciers qui nous alimenterons sur le sujet : • Mme Hélène Bolduc, présidente de l’Association québécoise pour le droit de mourir dans la dignité (AQDMD) • M. May 2009 ONPEA Conference - “National Perspectives on Elder Abuse: Join the Conversation.”
ONPEA has launched its CALL FOR PAPERS submissions for papers, workshops and posters to be presented at the Annual ONPEA Conference. This National Conference welcomes participants from across Canada to participate and present at this unique event. The theme of this year’s conference is “National Perspectives on Elder Abuse: Join the Conversation.” The intent of the conference is to facilitate knowledge exchange amongst stakeholders from across Canada about ”promising approaches” in abuse prevention and intervention. ONPEA encourages you to share your knowledge and successes with others at this conference. The submissions can be made on-line. Deadline is June 12, 2009. New Horizons The New Horizons Program recently approved over four million dollars for regional and national projects on building knowledge and awareness of abuse, neglect and fraud in later life. 2008 September 4, 2008, Toronto – The Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (ONPEA) is proud to announce plans to activate a new province-wide hotline to assist at-risk seniors. The hotline will be active 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will provide resources and assistance in 154 languages to older adults that are suffering abuse. More... [ONPEA website] |
