Manitoba This special picnic was a WEAAD event held on June 11th in Winnipeg. It was sponsored by Partners Seeking Solutions with Seniors called the “Healthy Families, Healthy Aging Picnic”.

Photos from the Senior's Fair as well as the Awareness Cafe which the Action Group on Elder Abuse hosted on June 15th. "It was a great campaign that we were all happy to be involved with, and I think the message was received very well in our community."

Vancouver: 16th Annual John K. Friesen
Conference, Aging, Ageism and Abuse: Moving from This year's conference also highlighted the 1st Annual Awareness to Action Award for people and organizations who have made significant contributions to raising awareness abuse and neglect of older adults in BC. Two individual awards and two organization awards were given this year.

Ontario Northern Ontario:
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Presentations that the
District Mental Health Services for Older Adults Program conducted with Lee
Stone (Regional Elder Abuse Consultant. The purpose of each of these workshops
was to provide education and awareness to seniors about a variety of issues
affecting safety and wellness throughout the Kenora/Rainy River District.
Quebec Quebec Press Conference
Ms. Hélène Wavroch, Executive Director of the RQCAA, spoke about the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and the RQCAA prize for the best project regarding elder abuse prevention, detection or intervention to foster respect and dignity for seniors in Quebec in collaboration with representatives of the ministère de la Famille, des Aînés et de la Condition féminine du gouvernement du Québec.
Montreal: Kiosk organized by CLSC René Cassin in Montreal.
June 15 activities in Montreal. These photos are from a kiosk at a local grocery store. Display organized by the NDG Community Community Commitee on Elder Abuse in partnership with the CSSS Cavendish in Montreal.
